As America continues to transform into a society unimaginable by earlier
generations, American Family Association Action (AFA Action) works
to inform, motivate and equip God's people to take action on issues
that threaten to undermine and destroy America's families, and to protect
the rich heritage of our forefathers. AFA Action is led by Rev. Donald
E.
Wildmon. AFA Action helps its members by being an outspoken voice for
grassroots Christian activism with state and federal legislation, ballot
measures both state and national and at the polling booth.
Rev. Donald E. Wildmon is founder and chairman of American Family
Association, American Family Radio and President of American Family
Association Action. AFA is a pro-family advocacy organization with
over three million online supporters and approximately 150,000 subscribers
to its monthly flagship publication the AFA Journal.
Values Advocate
Donald's national influence and ability
to generate grassroots activism manifested itself profoundly during
the 2004 election in the values voter turnout and impact. He founded
ValuesVoters.com, a web site that encourages voters to vote their
values. He also founded the Arlington Group, the largest pro-family
coalition ever formed in America comprised of over 50 organizations.
Numerous media outlets including The New York Times, TIME and U.S.
News & World
Report have noted the significance of the Arlington Group.
In 1991 AFA started the AFR network which now consists of nearly 200
radio stations. The format is news, information, Bible teaching and
inspirational music. AFR is the fastest growing radio network of any
kind and built more stations in a shorter period of time than any other
broadcaster.
The mission of AFA includes the Center for Law & Policy, a firm
dealing in religious, First Amendment and constitutional matters, and
AgapePress, an online news provider that is syndicated around the world.
AFA uses all these means to communicate an outspoken, resolute, Christian
voice in America.
Decency Advocate
Over the past nearly thirty years,
Donald has led numerous successful campaigns to protect the family
from obscenity and indecency. Due to pressure from boycotts and grassroots
activism, Movie Gallery stores, 7-Eleven stores, Federal Prisons and
thousands of other convenience stores discontinued their sale of pornography.
AFA also boycotted several national advertisers because they were leading
sponsors of TV sex, violence and profanity. Because of the boycotts,
some companies - including Burger King, Clorox and S. C. Johnson -
have changed their advertising policies.
Radio Host
Donald is host of the national radio program AFA Report,
a daily panel discussion with members of the AFA staff regarding hot
button issues of the day that airs on nearly 200 AFR stations across
the country.

the Press, McNeil-Lehrer Report, Good Morning America, The Tomorrow
